During the first week of May I registered the domain paik-heavy.com after reading a transcript of the voicemail clues provided when you call the phone number given out during the fake Hanso Foundation commercial. In the transcript they mentioned Paik Heavy Industries, along with Widmore Construction - a company that had been mentioned during the Lost TV show. Since the fall of 2005 I had been looking for a good opportunity to build a fake Lost site and this seemed like a good option.
After registering the domain I put up a very simple page which had some bogus content and referenced some of the current Lost Experience clues (like the numbers). I never posted any links to the site, I never promoted it in any way. Very soon after the page went up people found it and started visiting. That started a three week experiment, which is what is discussed in this blog.
